On the fringes of the ‘Best of Events’ Messe in Dortmund, the BlachReport organised the BEA Awards for the ninth time. The BlachReport Event Award (BEA) is one of the most important accolades for creative events worldwide.
First place in 2016's newly introduced BEA Production Award category went to Elements Entertainment from Bielefeld/Berlin.
The award was in the specialist category for technical or scenographic realisation of an experience-orientated project.
Amongst other factors recognised were the outstanding live impact that made the show highly attractive for the target audience as well as the creative use of media and event technology (BlachReport quote).
The team from Elements Entertainment was honoured for the production of the Opening Shows of the VELUX EHF FINAL4 2015 in Cologne’s LANXESS arena.
“This is reward for the four opening shows of the VELUX EHF FINAL4, which entertained spectators, players, club and federation officials once again this year in the LANXESS arena.
"Out of the first sketches, scribbles and animations developed live shows, which enthused not only those in the arena and watching on TV but also resonated with the well-respected jury of the BEA Awards,“ said David Szlezk, Managing Director of EHF Marketing GmbH.
The VELUX EHF FINAL4 is the most important handball event at a club level worldwide and at the same time the biggest indoor sports event in Europe.
Under the creative leadership and direction of Hans-Christoph Mücke, Elements Entertainment, in cooperation with EHF Marketing, planned and produced the four opening shows for the sixth time in a row. 40,000 fans experienced the sports spectacular and played their own active part in the show.
Konrad Kuschel, Managing Director of Elements Entertainment, said: “This award means a great deal to us. A production such as the VELUX EHF FINAL4, which we have been involved with six times in a row, is only possible with a strong production and creative team.
"This award underlines that our ideas are always creative and fresh. This success is a result and expression of our continuing positive cooperation with EHF Marketing GmbH.”
The BEA 2016 Jury was made up of the following members: Stefanie Kropp from Lufthansa, Susanne Schmidhuber from Schmidhuber + Partner, Brigitte Nußbaum from trendhouse event marketing, Prof. Dipl. Ing. Siegfried Paul from 'Beuth Hochschule für Technik', Olaf Meidt from Volvo Car Germany, Ingo Schwerdtfeger from marbet as well as Prof. Dr. Hermann-Josef Kiel and Dipl.-Kfm. Univ. Ralf G.
